Nikons first successful 35mm autofocus SLR from 1986. Very similar in functionality with it's brother, the F-301 but with the added benefit of supporting autofocus. Together with the auto advance and 2.5 frames per second, it was a huge step forward compared to the all manual focus cameras. 

Might not be as flashy or fast as the F4, F5 or F100 but the F-501 is definitely no slouch either. We can highly recommend this camera for anyone looking for a solid AF-capable film camera within the Nikon realm.
