Rolleicord Va (Type II)
Rolleicord Va (Type II)
The Rolleicord Va is one of the later models in a long line of more affordable twin lens reflex cameras offered by Rollei-Werke. While they were less advanced (and thus cheaper) than the legendary Rolleiflexes, these definitely were no slouches either.
Using a beautiful 75mm f3.5 Xenar lens, the Va captures 6x6 frames on 120 film. Speeds from 1s to 1/500s with bulb mode are provided by the tried and true Synchro-Compur MXV shutter. Two iterations of the Va exist (along with some transitional models). First type has the shutter speed scale on the right side and aperture readout on the left while the second time has the exposure value scale on the right and shutter & aperture readout on the left.
A camera we can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a very capable medium format camera. It's small size and easy controls make it a perfect travel camera too!

This example of the Rolleicord Va is of the second type. Some signs of use, normal of it's age, but definitely still in good condition. These usually come more worn due to their heavy use. Lenses are clear without any issues. Transport and shutter were cleaned, lubricated and calibrated to meet specification. Focusing screen is still clear and bright.
